Casey, thank you for being a fan of our Italian Beef. I hope you joined the Family to enjoy the benefits of being a member of the Family.

To answer your question: The nutritional information pertains to the beef and au jus in combination. We don't break out separate nutritional information for either because of their interdependence. You eat them both at the same time. So when you make a sandwich with about 2/3 cup of meat that has soaked in juice and then put a little extra on -- you should always put a little extra juice on -- to flavor the bun as well, that's your 80 calories.

Make sense?

Thanks again for your support. Happy New Year.

My family loves your beef, even better than beef stands! A question about the nutritional info on the 5lb container. It lists 2/3 cup serving for 80 calories. Is that 2/3 cup of beef or 50:50 beef and juice? We incorporating the beef as part of healthy diet, and want to understand our portions.

Hi Kim, and thank you for your question. The answer is a 50:50 ratio.

It seems that the current mixture produces the best overall taste experience, which is quite a challenge because we're shipping real roast beef. When we add more or less juice it affects the final taste of the meal.

How much meat (in pounds) is in the 5 lb. container. I am assuming the 5lbs is the total weight of the beef and juice. Thanks

Dave, I checked into it, and according to Wal-Mart's database, they have a store there. Is there no store there?

Dave, it looks like the database may not be accurate. Let me check into it and get back to you. Thanks. Joe

Using the Where-To-Buy section of your site, I entered my zipcode, 43147. An address popped up in neigboring Reynoldsburg, but the zip code attached to the address is Milwaukee, WI. The address is good for Reynoldsburg, but I don't believe there is a store at that location. Is there really a store within a few miles that I can purchase your delicious beef?

Cindy, that’s really hard to say. I’m not trying to be evasive, it just really depends upon your appetite. My son can eat a whole container himself. So for him, it serves 1, maybe 2. A single serving for the packaging’s nutritional facts contains 80 calories and 14 grams of protein. That’s a lot of protein for a single meal. That’s really all you need. But if you’re hungry, you may double it. Here’s what Momma says, “When in doubt, buy a second container. If that’s too much, invite your neighbors over.”
